This talk will focus on zHeap which is a new storage format to avoid bloat due to PostgreSQL's MVCC mechanism while doing updates and deletes. When not handled efficiently, bloat is accumulated over time resulting in increase of table and index sizes although the amount of actual data remains unchanged and this directly affects the database performance.
