Over the last several years, PostgreSQL has added multiple ground-breaking capabilities, including parallel query, logical replication, declarative partitioning, and just-in-time compilation. In this talk, I'll discuss how I expect to see these capabilities evolve in future releases, as well as some trends that may drive new development and some new capabilities that PostgreSQL may gain as it attempts to respond to those trends.
