Configuring High Availability is critical for any production PostgreSQL deployment. High availability goes beyond the setup of streaming replication. You need to understand the implications of process failures, node failures & network partitions on your cluster. In this talk we will present in detail three popular options to setup high availability using PostgreSQL built-in Streaming replication.
- PostgreSQL Automatic Failover (PAF) using Pacemaker & Corosync
- Replication Manager
- Patroni
We will compare and contrast each of the three options and finally share the results of the detailed testing we have done on each of the three options.
