Working as Principal Engineer at EDB having 17+ years of experience. I am working with PostgreSQL since ~11 years. I am Open source contributor for various tools around PostgreSQL for monitoring and management. I specialize in building cloud-native, scalable systems with expertise across Kubernetes, Golang, monitoring technologies, and cloud-native PostgreSQL. My work focuses on designing resilient platforms, improving observability, and enabling efficient application development in modern distributed environments. At EDB, I am focusing on EDB Postgres AI Hybrid Manager which is built to leverage Kubernetes for orchestration and CloudNativePG for managing the lifecycle of PostgreSQL.

Mastering CloudNativePG: Install, Scale, and Recover

Running stateful databases on Kubernetes used to be hard, but the CloudNativePG (CNPG) operator makes it production-ready. In this hands-on workshop, you will learn the full lifecycle of managing PostgreSQL in a cloud-native environment. We will move beyond the basics to cover the three critical pillars of database operations: reliable deployment, performance scaling, and disaster recovery.

What We Will Cover (Agenda)

Install :

    Understanding the CloudNativePG architecture.

Deploying the Operator and your first High Availability (HA) Postgres cluster using declarative YAML.

Scale :

How to scale read-replicas to handle increased traffic.

Managing resources (CPU/Memory) and understanding connection pooling.

Recover :

Setting up continuous backups and WAL archiving to object storage (like S3).

    Setting up a Replica Cluster.
